Статья посвящена историческому пути юридического образования в глобальном контексте, показывающему, что континентально-европейская система подготовки юристов, являющаяся наследницей римской правовой школы, основана на приоритете фундаментальных дисциплин, в то время как англо-американская школа, формировавшаяся «с чистого листа» по гильдейскому принципу, отдает приоритет практическим занятиям. Российской системе юридического образования органически близка континентальная модель, в связи с чем особое значение в отечественной системе подготовки юристов исторически придается фундаментально-теоретическим знаниям.
The article is devoted to the historical path of legal education in the global context is explored, showing that the continental European system of training of lawyers, which is the successor of the Roman law school, is based on the priority of fundamental disciplines, while the Anglo-American school, formed from scratch on the guild principle, gives priority to practical pursuits. The Russian system of juridical education is organically close to the continental model, and therefore the fundamental importance in the domestic system of training lawyers is given to fundamental theoretical knowledge.
